Gary grew up in Connecticut; Larkin, in Wisconsin. They met
in San Francisco, where they lived for many years and operated Victorian
Interiors, an interior design company specializing in the nineteenth century.
They then spent ten years running a Victorian house museum in Kansas. Wanting
to live closer to Gary’s mother and in a state which recognized their
relationship, they began researching possible homes in the Northeast. They stumbled
across on-line listings for wonderful Victorian era homes in Springfield and
ultimately bought one in the McKnight neighborhood. Besides a great home at a
great price, they are thrilled to have so many gay neighbors!
